Smithfield police have ruled the death of two people on Wrenn Road as a homicide.
According to an update from police, Kyonne Edwards and A’shoneya Williams, of Smithfield, died of fatal gunshot wounds after being found by law enforcement on July 18 in the 700 block of Wrenn Road. Emergency services were dispatched to the area for “a suspicious circumstance” at Jersey Park apartments, police said. Officers found cartridge casings at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to contact the Smithfield Police Department, call 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or use the P3 Tips App. Information that leads to an arrest can earn the caller a cash reward of up to $1,500, according to the department.
