Police in Newport News have identified a 19-year-old man killed in a shooting Sunday night in the Newmarket area.
According to an update from police, officers responded to the 7700 block of Jarvis Place around 9:10 p.m. for reports of a shooting. They foundRasheed Caudle, of Yorktown, with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
Police have not released additional details about a potential suspect or what may have led to the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
